John B arkett rode a huge plurality in his hom e hall of M orrissey to win a narrow victory over off-campus Senator Don Mooney in last night’s Student Body P residential run-off election. B arkett, a junior from Miami F lorida, won by two hundred fifteen votes., one hundred seventy-four of which cam e from M orrissey. The runoff was the second in Notre Dam e Student Body P residential history. Mooney m ade several im portant gains since last T hursday’s election, when he garnered only twenty-seven percent of thz vote total. He took P lanner, G race, Stanford, and Zahm halls, all of Which B arkett won Thursday., and improved his m argins in Alumni, Dillon, F arley , Howard and off-campus. Mooney also took Holy Cross, although his m argin decreased since last Thursday. _______
